Best Parking Site Review Sedo Vs. Namedrive

One of these sites pays out alot better.

I did some research on this domain parking thing and found out that not all parking services are created equal. If you are thinking of parking some names read on. Like with anything, those business' that are trying to gain market share are going to offer something extra to gain customers and get the word out. Namedrive is that company. I parked a number of domains at Sedo when I heard about this free parking service a while back. I thought "great, free service, free money, awesome lets go." So I parked a number of names and waited and watched to see the cash roll in. Then I started seeeing payouts of .05 to .11 per click, very low. I was not impressed. This has to mean based solely on what I have seen from other ad services that the revenue share must be as low as 30%. If you have looked into this at all, this is where I say do not do godaddy's pay to park model. It is a total rip off and must have been created because they think there are suckers out ther being born as we speak. It is also serves as a deterrent basically, see godaddy automatically parks all pages that are not hosted or used in some way. They make ALL of the money on these parked domains so they must figure they don't want to share it.

So I decided to go and try a number of other sites for parking names and so far it is a unanimous win for Namedrive. I do not often like to champion business' but for the record they have a low $20 payout threshold and the ppc rates are quite fair. The most important thing though is the revenue share. It is quite a favorable percentage for YOU the parker from what I have expereinced. Which is great for both parties. Namedrive makes a good chunk doing relatively little but offering the resources and you get the most for having the domain to be parked. Cool. So go and try both or just go to Namedrive and make more. I gurantee it.

Some sites that offer domain parking

These sites will host park your domain for "free" and take a cut.

Most of the domain parking services are taking a cut of your advertising dollar but one of the benefits is you dont have to be a web developer to put content on your domain. The parking compnay puts links and graphics in the page for you. Honestly if you can roll out sites fairly quickly you are able to make more money developing you domain yourself but if you don't have the time or ability parking may be for you.

Unless you have a popular domain name it probably isn't worth the effort to use a revenue sharing parking service. Unless you want the Registrars making your money. Best option is develop the site and server ads yourself.

What is domain kiting?

firefoxThe tasting technique was modified by some to constitute domain kiting, a term coined by Bob Parsons owner and ceo of godaddy.com. Kiting basically works the same as tasting with the added twist that the tasted name is automatically re-registered to reset the grace period clock. Toss is a bunch of crummy info in WHOIS data and the taster is basically confident and secure in this new scheme..
